I’m not gonna lie. Discovering how to make bulletproof coffee AT HOME was nothing short of a life changing experience for me.

I had tried it a few times and heard people talk about it for a long time before I made it myself, because somehow it seemed intimidating. Every time I even THOUGHT about making it myself I ended up with more questions than answers.

What even IS bulletproof coffee?

Is bulletproof coffee good for you?

Can you make it hot AND cold?

Do you need a blender to make it?

Is it sweet? Not sweet?

How do you make it so creamy?

What does it taste like?

But mostly – how good could coffee with butter and coconut oil even BE?!

Well my friends, after taking a big deep dive into the world of bulletproof coffee (or boosted coffee, as some call it) I’m so very happy to report that when you make it right, it is indeed very, very good, and not at all hard to make.

Picture your morning cup of coffee all LUXE, creamy, and flavorful with a rich fullness that not only energizes you but ALSO satisfies your every wish for what a morning beverage could be.

Hi! Ok guys. I’m just going to preface this post by saying that holy-cow I’m not sure I’ve ever made a cocktail at home that I have loved SO dang much.

It is seriously that good, you guys.

So good that we’ve been (ahem) “testing” it just about every night as an after-dinner-let’s-play-cards drink. Needless to say, between myself, my husband, our roommate, and friends stopping by our place we’ve THOROUGHLY tested this recipe. Probably somewhere in the range of 20 or so times in the last week 😳

And the funny thing is, we’re not usually the type to even whip up a fancy make at home cocktail. We generally reach for a glass of wine, hard cider, or beer (for the boys), with the occasional espresso martini thrown in there before nights out on the town.

BUT THIS DRINK. Oh man. I’m borderline super-obsessed and just so so excited to share the recipe with you guys.

Because it’s so easy to make! And so lovely to drink.

And absolutely PERFECT for the fall! All dressed up with fall ingredients like apple cider, juicy and sweet tangerine juice, cinnamon, and spiced rum – or vodka if that’s more your style. But even if you usually aren’t into dark / spiced rums, I would urge you to give it a chance in this spritz cocktail because I’m generally not super into them and somehow it just works.

What’s UP babes?! How’s your week going? You ready for this yummy healthy gut smoothie that I’ve got for you today?

Like probably all of us, this summer has been crazy busy. And whenever I’m on the go more than I’m not, the first place I always notice some imbalance in my immune system and overall health is in my gut and my digestion. Now that summers come to an end I’m really focusing in on that and doing everything I can to get back to feeling 💯.

Whenever my gut does start to feel a little funky something that helps get me back on track is switching my breakfast to a healthy-fat / probiotic / fiber rich morning smoothie.

If I’m winging it, my smoothie formula goes something like this:

  1. Grab whatever frozen fruit I have on hand, always favoring berries if I’ve got ’em
  2. Throw in some fresh veggies from the crisper drawer – fresh carrots in smoothies are my JAM! If you’ve never tried including them, you have to. Greens always win, too.
  3. A low sugar liquid such as water, coconut water, coconut milk, almond milk or whole leaf aloe vera juice (only the unsweetened variety!) for some extra gut soothing goodness
  4. A chunk of lemon with the peel cut away and/or some ginger for anti-inflammatory YUM
  5. A big scoop of collagen powder to not only support the gut, but also give a little extra boost to connective tissues, hair, nails and skin 👊🏼

But this specific recipe for this specific raspberry mango healthy gut smoothie has been on repeat as of late, and it’s really been hitting the spot, so of course I wanted to share it with youuuu ⚡️
