Here’s exactly what you need to make this vegan chocolate mousse with chocolate covered graham crackers:
- Non dairy milk – What type non dairy milk you use for this recipe is up to you. I have tested it with oat milk and almond milk and both were delicious, but you could also use cashew milk or coconut milk as well.
- Dairy free cream cheese – Dairy free cream cheese adds a nice amount of smooth body to the mousse, and an appealing tang that will keep you coming back for another bite. If you’re not dairy free you could also use regular cream cheese.
- Maple syrup – My natural sweetener of choice for this recipe. It also adds some lovely warm dimension to the final product.
- Coconut oil – Coconut oil helps to “set” the mousse as it chills in the refrigerator. It is melted before adding to the blender with the other ingredients so it will properly emulsify.
- Cacao powder – Or cocoa powder, both add an extra layer of chocolatey flavor.
- Dark chocolate – Melted dark chocolate is added to both the mousse and drizzled over the graham crackers. You can use whatever high quality dark chocolate you prefer.
- Vanilla extract – Not necessary (I know it is expensive), but if you have it I highly recommend adding a small amount for some extra interest in the flavor profile.
- Gluten free graham crackers – You could use either gluten free graham crackers or any other type of cookie that you like or have on hand!
- Flaky Sea salt – For that touch of savory goodness that balances out the sweetness of this vegan chocolate mousse.
- Dairy free whipped cream – Optional, but a really nice way to finish off these chocolatey cups of yum!

Here’s the step-by-step instructions

Pour into 4-6 small servings cups or one large glass serving dish and refrigerate overnight, or for at least 4 hours – until set. If planning to serve from a large serving dish refrigerate overnight for the best results. When ready to serve consistency will be about the same as a thick pudding.

While the mousse cups chill, make the chocolate drizzled graham crackers. Place as many graham cracker quarters as desired on a plate, some parchment paper, or a small cutting board. Drizzle with melted dark chocolate and sprinkle with flaky sea salt. Move to the refrigerator briefly to set the chocolate.
Step 3: Assemble the vegan chocolate mousse cups
When ready to serve, top the chocolate mousse with whipped cream, some graham cracker crumbs, and chocolate drizzled graham crackers.
