The creamiest piña colada mocktail that’s *just* the thing for a hot day
Super refreshing. Made with simple pantry-friendly ingredients. Just the right amount of sweet and bright.
Check, check, check!
These virgin piña coladas are one of our favorite non-alcoholic drinks to blend up when we want something “cocktail-y” to relax with, but without the alcohol.
It’s a tweaked version of our Easy Piña Colada cocktail. Ratios adjusted slightly so that the flavor is just as spot on as the original, with no guess-work as to how to modify it to get the equation right.
When I’m making (drinking!) a tropical drink, I always aim to use the simplest of ingredients. Stuff that can easily be found at any grocery store, or that you might already have on hand to use for other recipes.
For this piña colada, I wanted to maximize the REAL coconut / pineapple flavor, because that’s what a really good piña colada does, right?! So I’ve opted to use real canned coconut milk, frozen pineapple, and pineapple juice.
The fresh lime pops off all the other flavors, and just a bit of agave or maple syrup makes up for the sugar that’s generally included by way of sweetened coconut cream.
It is a literal, *CHEFS KISS* beverage situation!

Key ingredients
Frozen pineapple
Frozen pineapple is what turns this drink into a frosty glass of perfection. I don’t recommend using fresh pineapple instead, since it won’t provide the same frozen consistency.
Unsweetened coconut milk
Used instead of sweetened coconut cream, canned coconut milk provides a ton of real coconut flavor. I always use the full fat option for maximum creaminess!
How to make virgin piña coladas
🍍 This frozen mocktail comes together SO QUICKLY. Like literally all you’ll need to do is add everything to a blender container, blend it together, pour, and ENJOY!
🌿 A note on garnishes! While garnishing your frozen mocktail is totally optional, it does add a charming touch. Especially if you’re serving this drink for an event or party! I typically opt for leaves from a fresh pineapple (just pull them off with a little muscle and wash them before using!), a pineapple wedge, and/or a lime wheel. Viola! Fancy drink status ACHIEVED.
If you enjoyed this juicy mocktail we’d love it if you would take a moment to rate and review it below! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 It’s also a good place for questions, and super helpful for other readers if you share any modifications you made to the recipe.
