The yummiest 10-minute breakfast smoothie!
Homemade smoothies are where convenience meets wholesome for a crave-worthy breakfast or snack that you can wholeheartedly get behind!
🌿 One of my favorite ways to make sure I eat a nourishing breakfast every day is by keeping it mostly the same, at least Monday through Friday. This takes away some of the decision fatigue that can come from planning ‘what to eat’, and also makes it easy to stock my kitchen with what I’ll need every Sunday!
And a smoothie like this is almost always on the menu.
I’ll swap out the type of frozen fruit I use based on what I’m craving, but the combination of frozen raspberries + frozen mango is one of my all-time, 10/10 FAVES.
These days, I typically reach for Greek yogurt, but when I was more strictly eating dairy-free I’d use a nondairy yogurt, and it was equally delicious.
And the protein powder can easily be whatever type suits your preference! I have been using this Vanilla Whey Protein Powder, but if you want this smoothie to be 100% dairy-free, a plant-based protein powder is the perfect option.

Ingredient highlights
Frozen fruit
In order to achieve a thick, creamy texture in this smoothie you’ll want to use frozen raspberries and frozen mango!
In a pinch, you could use just frozen mango with fresh raspberries, or just frozen raspberries with fresh mango, but then you should expect the smoothie to be on the thinner side.
🥭 Trader Joe’s has some delicious organic diced frozen mango, and their frozen berries are always stocked in my freezer – those are my go-to’s in that category. Can I get a heck yes for affordable organic grocery store goods!?
Yogurt
Yogurt provides some of the luscious texture, and a nice bit of tang.
Greek yogurt is what we typically use, but a dairy free alternative will also work well!
🥥 Two of our favorite dairy free yogurts for making smoothies are Cocoyo, and cocojune! Both have exceptional texture and a lovely (but mild) coconut flavor.
The chia seeds and flax seeds are a little optional added bonus – add them if you have them in your pantry but no need to make a special run to the store just for that!

Hi, just a side note, If you add collagen, it is no longer vegan.

Hi Sheila – thanks for pointing that out. I’ve updated the post adding a note about it and included some alternative options to keep the recipe plant based.
