These chocolate coconut almond bliss balls are a crazy easy paleo friendly and vegan dessert made using only the yummiest + cleanest ingredients – chocolate, coconut, maple syrup and coconut oil are combined to make this decadent yet healthy treat!
I’m fairly sure I know exactly what you’re thinking – do we really need one more treat recipe? I’m going to go ahead and say that yes, when it’s a recipe for these chocolate coconut almond bliss balls, the answer is most definitely yes.
Because this is not your ordinary treat recipe. These little bliss balls are:
A) Dairy free
B) Naturally sweetened
C) Made with only 6 ingredients, two of which are vanilla extract and sea salt
D) Waaaaay easier to make than they seem (read: option to appear fancy AF at your next gathering without doing anything more difficult than making the easiest cookie recipe)
BOOM. So much more to offer than your ordinary truffle.
I have been sitting on this recipe for so so long! Just waiting for the right moment to share it with you. And now that it’s officially December, I think it’s exactly the right time to show you how to make THE MOST EPIC peppermint mocha bulletproof coffee.
Coffee + peppermint + chocolate = one of those drinks that every cold day in December deserves.
On the weekends, topped off with a little whipped cream situation, and on the weekdays just whipped up quick as can be and poured it into a thermos on your way out the door for the perfect start to your day. Waaay healthier than the coffee shop’s peppermint mocha – have you ever read that long long list of ingredients on their mocha syrup? I will take a scoop of natural cacao powder over that any day of the week.
Plus everyone will think you’re toting around a regular cup of coffee or tea, when in reality you’ve got the most delicious (and HEALTHY!) peppermint mocha keeping you company. Totally a secret worth smiling about. And if they’re lucky you might even let them in on your sweet little mocha thrill.
Even though these popsicles are technically a little late to the official popsicle week party, I’m still gonna go ahead and show them some love because they are worth the wait, my friends! This salted banana date popsicle recipe is locked down and ready for all your warm weather enjoyment, popsicle week, or not!
I tried so hard to have this recipe out to you last week. But the first two rounds just melted into a puddle on my photo boards before I could even think about snapping a picture.
Honestly it was a rather heartbreaking experience.
I could definitely see the potential though…
As the popsicles melted off the sticks (or even refused to come out of the mold, the stick slipping easily from the sweet creamy base), we slid it into bowls, drizzled it with some chocolate and sprinkled it with flaky sea salt and surrendered into frozen dessert heaven anyways.
I even debated reframing the recipe as a no churn ice cream thang (which, may still happen!), but I hung on tight to my original inspiration because the allure of a paleo creamy treat on a stick was too much to let go of.
I love popsicles of the fruity variety, but this particular recipe is a spin off of a salted banana date shake that my sweetie and I have been in love with for at least the past year, and I had a feeling it would make just as good (if not better) of a popsicle.
I was right (I love it when that happens! 🙂)
These popsicles are:
Delightfully creamy without any dairy! Coconut milk FTW 💪🏼
Ever-so-slightly salty. Think of all the reasons you love salted caramel ice cream
Naturally sweetened with dates and bananas
Drizzled in dark chocolate and sprinkled with flaky sea salt and cacao nibs for some amazing texture and flavor additions
SUPER EASY TO MAKE! Hip hip hooray for that one 🙌🏼
