Description

This herby green goddess dressing is a creamy yet bright dairy free sauce that that makes a lovely salad dressing or dip for fresh veggies! It comes together in just 10 minutes or less using a blender or food processor, and will instantly add a boost of flavor to whatever type of meal you include it in! Made with just 8 fresh ingredients, including mayo (plus dairy free milk) instead of sour cream or greek yogurt for a lush sauce that you’ll want to drizzle on everything.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened dairy free milk (I used oat milk)
  • 1 clove garlic, roughly chopped
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon drained capers (optional)
  • 2-3 tablespoons chopped parsley
  • 2 tablespoons chopped basil
  • 1 tablespoon chopped chives
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt, plus more to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, plus more to taste

Instructions

  1. Add ingredients to blender. Add mayonnaise, dairy free milk, chopped garlic, lemon juice, capers, parsley, basil, chives, salt, and pepper to blender container or food processor.
  2. Process. Process until smooth and creamy, stopping to scrape down the sides as needed during blending.
  3. Season and serve! Season to taste with salt and pepper and serve immediately or transfer to the refrigerator until ready to use. The sauce will thicken quite noticeably after a few hours in the refrigerator.

Notes

Recipe makes a little more than 1 cup of dressing.

Storage: This dressing should keep in the refrigerator for 3-5 days.

A note on blender containers: I have two Vitamix blenders. One is the low profile, wider style, and the other is the more traditional tall + skinny blender container (like you see in the photos below). I always find that when blending up smaller amounts of ingredients for a sauce like this that the tall and skinner container does a much better job at properly incorporating the ingredients together. If all you have is the wide style container, I’d recommend using a food processor instead if that option is available to you! A small personal size blender would also work well.
