This blood orange sunshine ginger mango smoothie is made with juicy blood oranges, sweet ripe mango, bright lemon, zippy ginger and hydrating coconut water. The perfect in-between-seasons smoothie! Full of sweet and bright flavor and good for you vitamins and minerals.
So techinically, it’s spring, right? But technically doesn’t mean much when it’s been cold, gray and raining for the past 3 weeks 🙄. I mean, you’d think mama nay nay would be just as ready as us to see the sunshine and the flowers, but I guess for now she has other plans.
But even if the sun isn’t shining, I’m going to pretend that it is by drinking all of these blood orange sunshine ginger mango smoothies. Because they are full of all the good fruit that’s in season right now, and pretty much = sunshine in a glass.
Which, second to actual sunshine is not a bad option.

I’m not gonna lie, I am not exactly a smoothie goddess. I don’t alway have the easiest time finding the right ratio for them.. Let’s just say it’s not my forte in the kitchen. Sometimes I even sense a little hesitation when I ask my hunny if he wants me to make him a smoothie in the morning.
But I’ve been practicing. And practice makes perfect, right? So this pretty green number? Well it’s been winning me all kinds of points.
So if you can trust me with your fruit and greens after that not-so promising introduction, I think you and your hunnies will love it too.
I love you smoothies = the best pink + delicious + healthy way to show someone how much you care, before you even brush your teeth.

because we all know that mornings can be a little…rough. and frazzle-y. and what makes mornings even more rough + frazzle-y? not eating something at least mostly healthy before heading out the door.
(yes I am that person who neeeeds to eat breakfast. never-could-I-ever skip this perfect meal. I’m not sure what would happen if I did but I might melt into a puddle of..I don’t know what but I don’t think it would be pretty.)
so a few months ago I decided that smoothies we’re going to be my new monday through friday BFF (ok sometimes weekends too because smoothies are kind of AWESOME!).
they’re so easy to throw together quickly, and if you’re like us and sometimes use jars instead of regular glasses well you just pop a lid on that glorious glass of blended vibrance and you’re out the door with a nourishing breakfast to boot.
