Ohhh hi guys!!! I’m back with another tasty snack recipe for you today! Why is this so exciting? Because I’m a firm believer that the world could always use another tasty snack. A snack so good that it forces you stop doing whatever it is you’re doing and pay attention to all the happy things that are happening on your taste buds. These tasty spiced snack nuts are 100% that snack.
I feel like this time of year there’s just so many opportunities for delicious snacks. There’s football games, movies nights (👋🏼 4:30 pm sunset!), Thanksgiving, Christmas, games nights, potlucks, etc etc etc.
We are officially in snacking season. Also known as I’m going to need to amp up my yoga routine season 😂 But really, I have no guilt about enjoying clean and tasty snacks. Snacks that really give you that moment of pure chill + bliss and FEEL indulgent without actually having a lot of junky ingredients in them.
I actually decided to create this simple little recipe for these snacking nuts after developing something of an addiction to some spiced nuts from the bulk foods section at our natural food store. They are seriously so good and it got to the point where I couldn’t walk out without a little bag of them for my drive home, even if I already had some at home from my last shopping trip 🙄
The ingredients were not so totally horrible, but there were a few extra things in there that I’m not always too keen on including in my diet – canola oil and maltodextrin being the two main ones (WHY IS PROCESSED CORN IN EVERYTHING?!)
So I decided to give roasting + spicing my own nuts a try, and they turned out EVEN BETTER than the grocery store version. Boy byeeeeeee.
It’s almost the weekend and we are gonna talk DESSERT my friends! Specifically, dessert with lots of chocolate, coffee and hazelnuts. It’s a salted mocha hazelnut tart made with Rawmio raw chocolate and it’s sort of a big deal 😉
In more ways than one! I mean the obvious way in which it’s a big deal is staring right at you in that picture up there. All the delicious chocolatey things are happening in this recipe. Enough so that this was actually the dessert I made for my husbands birthday. But the other way in which it’s a big deal is how MUCH nutrients are packed in there!
(Hint: it’s A LOT!) See? My sweet tooth totally has a place in a conversation about eating healthy.
well, I have been meaning to write this one for a while! I feel like I owe this recipe to you because this easy cinnamon cashew milk has been floating around in my kitchen for quite some time now, and while it’s a really simple recipe it’s just too good to keep to myself!
cashew milk is by far my favorite nut milk. SO easy, SO delicious and seriously the perfect blank canvas for any fun flavors you might want to add to it. this time of year I love to go for lovely, seasonal, warming spices which, of course, include’s cinnamon. you could even take it to the next level and add some pumpkin pie spice.
👆🏼I know what I’ll be doing the next time I make this non-dairy bev.
and ohhh my goodness does cashew milk hit that perfect creamy/nutty/mouthfeel mark with an A+++
sometimes mouth feel can be an issue with homemade nut milk, especially if you don’t have a super powerful blender or the proper straining cloth/equipment.
but you know what? you don’t even have to worry about that with cashew milk because IT DOESN’T REQUIRE STRAINING!! you heard me right.
