Happy MONDAY friends! Hope your first few steps into the week are off to a great start. Too soon to tell? Well how about we seal the deal by adding this bulletproof pumpkin spice latte to your morning mix. A cup of this on a brisk October morning is BOUND to jumpstart a kickass week.

Bulletproof pumpkin pie spice latte! A perfectly indulgent and healthy way to get in the spirit of fall and supercharge your morning coffee routine.

First, let’s talk bulletproof coffee.

Are you guys on the train yet? If not, boy are you in for a lovely surprise.

Creamy, indulgent, full of healthy fats, and the perfect fuel to start your day off right.

Here’s what you’ll LOVE about bulletproof coffee:

  • The solid boost of energy that it gives you. One cup and your morning energy will feel stable and steady all the way until your first meal of the day.
  • The indulgence of a rich, creamy coffee that gets more nourishing fat into your diet.
  • An increased level of mental clarity – our brains are made up of about 60% fat, saturated fat being one of the main components of brain cells, making healthy fats an important part of keeping them functioning at a high level.

I’ve been bulletproofing my mornings for at least a couple of years, but only recently did I start playing around with a variety of flavors to keep things interesting. I have a good solid 6 or so that I rotate to keep things fresh, and.. get excited! I’m planning on sharing them all with you over the next few months 🙌🏼

Bulletproof coffee = really good.

Bulletproof coffee + fun flavor combos = infinitely better.

bedtime turmeric golden milk bulletproof latte {paleo + gluten free + vegan option}

Well hey lovely people! How are you DOING?! Hope your week is off to a great start. Some of my favorite players are making an appearance in today’s post – turmeric, ginger, cardamom and cinnamon are all a part of this amazing bedtime turmeric golden milk bulletproof latte! And why should you be excited?

because golden milk is The perfect tonifying remedy for winding down at the end of the day.

Bedtime turmeric golden milk bulletproof latte is an amazing bedtime tonic made with warming spices and boosted with a dose of healthy fats to help you fall fast asleep!

I’ve been getting home late since starting my new job, like 10 or 11 at night (if I’m lucky!) and while I’m SO grateful to have my days free to work on this site and take care of myself, it’s been a little bit harder to wind down and get to sleep once I get home.

Sometimes I stay awake for a little while to bust out some work in the quiet and dark house, as it always tends to be a pretty productive time for me – there’s something about that stillness that allows me to focus like no other. But I don’t like staying up so late that I’m dragging to get out of bed in the morning. When I fall into that bad habit it always has a way of killing my morning yoga routine. Which if you can relate, tends to start a waterfall cascade of feeling like my day has totally fallen to bits and that I’m in no way living up to my potential. Yikes! that sounds pretty harsh when I write that down here.

I’m working on that whole self compassion thing.

I’ve known for awhile that golden milk can aid in relaxation, and therefore promote a good night’s sleep, so I decided to give it a try. Boosting this turmeric latte with an extra dose of healthy fats was this sort of intuitive thing that I started adding to my own little recipe to have an even easier time falling and staying asleep.. Come to find out after some research, having a little bit of fat before bed isn’t just some random thing. It really can help you fall and stay asleep by keeping your tummy is satisfied, and giving you that cozy sleepy feeling you get after finishing an especially satisfying meal.

I love it when my intuition is confirmed by scientific facts! Makes me feel like I’m tuning into my body in the right way. Our bodies have lots of messages to share with us if we create the space to listen!

I love a fancy latte as much as anyone, but I had a realization a little while ago (as I’m sure we all have) about how much money I was spending on latte’s and fancy drinks while I was out and about. It was kind of a depressing number.

So since then I’ve really gotten into the habit of making these drinks at home like nobody’s business.

I really REALLY do not need one more kitchen appliance hanging around on my counter // under my cupboards (which already desperately need to be de-cluttered!), so I mostly use my blender to froth them up, or sometimes my immersion blender (if I’m feeling like a lazy bum and don’t wanna wash out my blender 😉)

Usually these fancy drinks are a bullet proof coffee (decaf for me! Yes I AM one of those people who can’t have caffeine and still drinks coffee.. go ahead and roll your eyes at me but I love the taste too much to ever give it up all the way!), or if it’s the evening maybe a golden milk.

But lately I’ve been experimenting with making latte’s out of tea. I know this is not at all a new thing to most of you and I’m a little late jumping on this bus, but I am so in love!
