Description

Rooibos cardamom blender lattes! These fancy homemade drinks are a frothy, creamy dream – made with natural sweeteners and full of healthy fats and antioxidant + mineral rich rooibos! No fancy milk steamer required.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups water
  • 3 roiboos tea bags
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tsp raw almond butter
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil
  • 1 tsp ghee or butter (optional)
  • 2 tsp maple syrup or a little more to taste
  • pinch of cardamom (or cinnamon)
  • big pinch of sea salt

Instructions

  1. Bring water to boil in a small saucepan.
  2. Lower to a simmer and add tea bags. Simmer for about 10 minutes, until quite dark.
  3. Remove tea bags.
  4. Add hot tea to a blender with vanilla, raw almond butter, coconut oil, ghee (if using), maple syrup, cardamom and sea salt.
  5. Blend on high for about 30 seconds until fats are emulsified and latte is creamy and has some nice foam.
  6. Taste and adjust sweetener if desired and serve, topping with a little pinch of cardamom for a pretty garnish.
